The Bachelor in Secondary Education is a degree program designed to prepare students to become high school teachers. The program combines both theory and practice in order to teach students the necessary knowledge and skills a high school teacher needs. The program aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy for secondary education.
The BSED-English program prepares students to teach English subjects in high school. It takes a closer look at the development of linguistics, the structure of the English language, and the different types of literature that flourished throughout the centuries.
The BSED-Filipino program is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to become effective teachers of the Filipino language to secondary school students. It helps students gain a better understanding of the Filipino language, especially its phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics.
The BSED-Mathematics program provides students with a solid foundation in Mathematics. It prepares students to teach the different branches of Mathematics such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics in high school.
